Tim Yarbrough's Woke "Christianity"
When “Christian Leaders” Divorce Scripture and Destroy Families, Part 3
[This is Part 3 of a three-part post chronicling a real-life nightmare scenario that would benefit greatly from prayers and help from the Church. If you haven’t read Part 1 and 2, you will not understand this post. Here is a link to Part 1: Tim Yarbrough’s Ministry of Abuse and here is a link to Part 2: Tim Yarbrough’s War on the Ninth Commandment. Those with questions or an interest in helping are encouraged to text (if you have my number) or email me directly at Scott@FireBreathingChristian.com. Thank you!]
When “Christian Leaders” Divorce Scripture and Destroy Families, Part 3: Tim Yarbrough's Woke "Christianity"
Unfortunately, Woke Reformed Christianity is a thing – a big, ugly, family- and culture-wrecking thing. It’s the kind of pathetic but incredibly destructive creature that, like many of the lamest evangelical gimmicks, prides itself on mimicking the worst that the secular world has to offer with a lag time of about 5-10 years just to make the sheer lameness of faux-Christianity all the more painfully obvious. So, while Woke has already crested and begun its crash in the broader secular culture, it is apparently still on the ascent or at least riding near its high point in the so-called Reformed community (#BelieveAllWeakerVessels).
Please pray that as the FPCNA becomes aware of this situation and others like it, biblical action will be taken ASAP. Pray that true Christ-centered biblical justice will be held high and that, by God’s grace, FPCNA leaders will do so in a spirit of loving obedience to Christ as an example to those they lead directly in their churches and also to the many more observers that they impact and inspire from afar.
Please Pray for My Family
Please pray for my family, especially my wife and children who are suffering mightily – and unnecessarily – under the crushing weight of the new Woke worldview that Yarbrough helped inject into our lives.
My wife was always able to take a job outside the home if she wanted to. I was always open to that. I am even in a position to easily take over home education duties since I set my own work schedule and work from home while earning more than enough for us all to live very comfortably.
My wife would have no need of the many welfare programs and other handouts that she has become dependent upon through Yarbrough’s perversion of justice and destruction of family.
My wife would have her own vehicle and preferred access to mine, as always.
Most importantly, she would have the time to be a full-time Mother (or as close to full-time was she wanted to be) to five young children rather than shipping them off to be raised by strangers at daycare and public schools so that she can be a cog in someone else’s business machine. All while counting on Uncle Scam to finance expense gaps in the Woke Yarbrough program of “family liberation”, of course.
Whatever else she decides to do, please pray that she finds her way to repentance and restoration.
If she chooses to continue in her new Woke worldview, I have no desire to “control” or manipulate her to the contrary. I will respect her legitimate agency to choose that destructive path, and I will be thankful for the clarity that her choice brings.
Please Consider NOT Financially Rewarding Abusers
There has never been biblical justification for this divorce and there has certainly never been justification for empowering Team Yarbrough to drag my children off to live his “ministry’s” Woke dream life.
I have wept more in the past two years than I had in the rest of my life combined. I have also prayed more, learned more, and grown more, by God’s grace, as I have been plunged to depths of darkness that I had never known possible prior to Yarbrough’s religion coming into my family’s life.
How can a bunch of supposedly “Reformed Christians”, many of whom claim to be hard core covenantors and/or theonomists (LOL), possibly justify supporting this outright evisceration of biblical justice if what I am sharing here (with polygraph test confirmation) is true?
Out of love and reverence for the Spirit behind The Ninth Commandment, I am assuming the best of those who have, for whatever reason, followed Yarbrough’s lead and aided in his assault on me and my family without first even seeking my perspective. I trust that those in that camp who have the Spirit within them will be moved to rethink and repent of what they have allowed themselves to be led to believe and/or act upon.
To those who have helped to fund this abuse, please stop, or at least pause until you look into whether what I am saying here is true.
Are you really going to continue enabling and/or actively spreading vicious, Yarbrough-promoted lies without even speaking with me about your gossip to see if it might not be true?
I hope not and am assuming the best for now but will soon be addressing the conduct of Team Yarbrough supporting characters in detail, so please reach out to me soon if you have been supportive of Yarbrough’s anti-justice machine (including gossip-peddling). I would greatly appreciate hearing from you and, as I mentioned before, I am eager to forgive as I would wish to be forgiven.
Yarbrough has abused many for a very long time, including those who have been misled into supporting a profoundly unbiblical perversion of justice. He counts on having people so deeply invested in his narrative of lies that they dare not admit their poor judgment by repenting. I trust that the Spirit living within those truly belonging to Christ will not allow that tactic to prevail.
By The Fruitiness of Their Theology You Shall Know Them
One of Yarbrough’s favorite throw-around lines is taken from Matthew 7:20. He loves to justify his Woke mangling of biblical justice by making a vague appeal to “by their fruits you will know them” while failing to realize how thoroughly Matthew 7 indicts him and his lawless abuse of God’s word and people. Let’s have a closer look at Matthew 7:1-23 (ESV) for context (with bold emphasis added):
“Judge not, that you be not judged. 2 For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you. 3 Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? 4 Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when there is the log in your own eye? 5 You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye.
6 “Do not give dogs what is holy, and do not throw your pearls before pigs, lest they trample them underfoot and turn to attack you.
7 “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened. 9 Or which one of you, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone? 10 Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a serpent? 11 If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!
12 “So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.
13 “Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy[a] that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. 14 For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few.
15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. 16 You will recognize them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? 17 So, every healthy tree bears good fruit, but the diseased tree bears bad fruit. 18 A healthy tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a diseased tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Thus you will recognize them by their fruits.
21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ 23 And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’
First off, Matthew 7 begins with a call to impartiality in justice by warning people not to judge hypocritically or with partiality. Impartial judgment, especially in matters of civil justice, is a core theme of Scripture (see again: The Ninth Commandment) and that theme is thick right here in this chapter of Matthew. Yet Yarbrough’s approach to justice could hardly be more partial and hypocritical. In Yarbrough World, his “ministry” members are free to lie, cheat, and do whatever they like, while his targets are not entitled to even the most basic biblical presumptions of grace and decency.
He does not judge others by the same standard he applies to himself (verse 2). Instead, he ignores all biblical standards of conduct where those he wishes to accuse are concerned, so much so that he will covertly promote and finance an unbiblical divorce against them without even speaking with them about it beforehand. He has one set of standards for himself and allies of his “ministry” and a completely different set of standards for his targets and those who oppose his “ministry”.
He obliterates biblical justice and mutilates Scripture regularly and without flinching, and then cluelessly (yet providentially) appeals to this verse without any sense of irony or awareness as to how seamlessly he and his ministry fit with the character and conduct that Jesus is explicitly condemning.
Jesus warns against “false prophets who come in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravaging wolves” and He describes how many of these false prophets will be turned away in the last day even as they claim to have done all sorts of wonderful “ministerial” things in His name. He then will “announce to them, ‘I never knew you. Depart from me, you workers of lawlessness!’”
What law are they breaking, exactly? Any guesses?
Now go back and re-read that Westminster commentary on The Ninth Commandment, consider what Yarbrough has done through this incredibly unbiblical divorce process, and connect the dots for yourself.
The Rotten Fruits of Yarbrough Religion
With Matthew 7 in mind, what are the fruits by which we might know Yarbrough’s true nature? What fruits of his “ministry” are clearly on display right now in the form of recent and ongoing actions?
These are not trick questions. Plenty of answers have been provided here. So, the question at this point seems to be: What, if anything, is going to be done about it?
How many families will he and his “ministry” be allowed to abuse this way?
Will he be given mulligans on those crushed families because of other “good works” stored in his Karma Bank for Sociopaths? If so, what is the ratio? 10 helped families for every one destroyed? Or maybe 5-to-1? What is the magic number once biblical standards are tossed out the window where the “acceptably few” abused families are concerned?
How many false court orders and how much false court testimony will he be allowed to promote with impunity?
How many unbiblical approaches to divorce will be allowed to encourage and finance?
How many children traumatized? How many men unjustly ruined?
All without shame or regret, and certainly without any hint of repentance because he thinks that nobody in his precious little Reformed circle has the balls to hold him to account.
Is he right?
So far, it sure seems so, but I have hope. Everything is purposeful, and maybe one purpose of all of this coming to light now is so that something wonderful can happen. Maybe I’m just hopelessly optimistic and way too postmillennial for my own good, but that’s what I look for in situations like this.
Maybe my wife will benefit in fantastic ways from repentance and pass that blessing on to the children in ways too profound to fully comprehend on this side of eternity. With no more fidelity to Yarbrough’s approach, there need be no more unnecessarily broken home and shattered security for the children.
Maybe through repentance even recent traumas could be transformed into miraculous seeds of previously unattainable appreciation, gratitude, and hope for the future. Maybe restoration on the other side Yarbrough’s storm of wokeness can be beautiful beyond anything imaginable while trapped inside that storm.
Maybe the children could come to see my wife’s repentance as the single greatest outworking of the Gospel that they ever witness or experience. What kind of impact might such a transformation have on those five kids?
The true Gospel often works that way – transforming our darkest times and struggles into the means by which we are made into something otherwise unattainably powerful and good. This seems like a real possibility for each of those impacted by this storm. If each of us can own our actual sins and repent accordingly, all good things become possible…and then some.
Maybe our children will not have to endure the many unnecessary present and future traumas that come with clinging to the Woke narrative spun by “ministry allies”. Maybe the many unnecessary future disadvantages heaped on our children can not only be avoided, but reversed.
Through repentance and rejection of Yarbrough’s Woke religion, my wife could have the freedom to take a job out of want rather than out of need. She could be home with the children as much as she wanted while having a beautiful home, cars, hobbies, and every other need provided by her hard-working husband, rather than merely surviving off money coerced from others through taxation or manipulated into her pocket by false Woke narratives of “abuse”.
Through repentance and restoration, she could have the true versions of everything that Yarbrough has inspired her to sacrifice in exchange for dependence on the state and his “ministry allies”.
That is all up to her, of course, and I am ready to accept whatever she might choose. As I said before, clarity either way will itself be a significant blessing, however much I may be pulling for one path over the other.
Willingness to Repent vs. Refusal to Repent
Finally, with such a long and unpolished three-part intro as this, I fully expect legalistically inclined Yarbrough devotees to scour through every word with a fine-tooth comb (which is fine) in search of anything they might use to draw attention away from the clear and most convicting central points of this post (which is not fine). That tired old gimmick cannot be allowed to obscure or avoid these core points:
Tim Yarbrough promoted and funded my divorce in a wildly unbiblical manner.
The unbiblical Yarbrough-funded divorce in question was advanced and my children were ripped away from me by lies promoted through Yarbrough’s “ministry”, which I have addressed here via polygraph tests.
Tim Yarbrough has demonstrated an open contempt for the Spirit of God as expressed in The Ninth Commandment and elsewhere.
There are sure to be errors in this post, hopefully of the substantially insignificant kind. Either way, if there are errors I will correct and/or repent for them as necessary. But I beg readers not to allow this favorite tactic of abusers to distract from the central points presented here.
I have been riding out this storm for nearly two years now thinking it would break at any moment, but the lies and darkness just keep hovering overhead. I have often felt as though I might slip below the water after years of dog paddling, but now I see great purpose and opportunity.
I love my wife and my children. My heart breaks over how she has been transformed and over the many ways my kids have been traumatized by this man and his allies, all under the banner of “Christian ministry” with full support from some in the Reformed community. It’s beyond mind-blowing and can sometimes feel hopelessly demoralizing, but daybreak is coming.
I believe in the supernatural power of the true Gospel. I believe in otherwise impossible conviction, repentance, and restoration as real-world results of the Spirit of God moving through His people.
Please Pray that the True Gospel Will Shine
As I prepare future material and wait to see what happens next, I’ll continue to pray for good things to come and miracles to happen, trusting that whatever the Lord sees fit to unfold is a perfect part of His perfect plan, whether or not I understand it (or even like it) in the moment.
Please pray for the repentance and restoration of all involved so that good things may come in place of the family-shattering hell crafted and currently in place courtesy of Tim Yarbrough’s Ministry of Abuse.
In His grip and for His glory,
SAB
POLYGRAPH TEST RESULTS AND REPORT
The below report is included here since it addresses the three key false Team Yarbrough claims referenced in this post. Yarbrough and his “ministry” encouraging my wife to make these three particular false claims played a central role not only in the divorce case, but also served as a basis for taking the kids away from home and relocating them to Alabama, where Yarbrough’s “ministry” and its allies provided an all-expense paid “safe house” (and much more) for the woman lying about being abused. This severely traumatized the children and hopelessly skewed the legal playing field against their falsely accused father, just as Team Yarbrough intended.
Future posts will include additional polygraph reports as each false claim made by Team Yarbrough is addressed, but the three questions highlighted in this post stand above the rest and go straight to the heart of the systematic perversion of justice undertaken by Team Yarbrough and my thoroughly manipulated wife.
The report as shared here is largely redacted, leaving the three relevant question-answer sets with some elaboration on test results as noted by certified Forensic Polygraph Examiner Scott Jones, a 31-year veteran of law enforcement (still active) and Vice President of the Tennessee Polygraph Association.
There are two question-answer sets (#3 and #4) covered in this particular test that I will be sharing in future posts. In the meantime, I have redacted them here to avoid spoiling them.
Each test is limited to a handful of questions, so I will be sharing separate test results and reports from multiple tests over time as needed. While there will be redactions along the way, if it is necessary for me to continue these posts through to their conclusion, I will finish by posting fully unredacted reports for each and every polygraph test cited.
With all of that said, on to the first report…
